Michael Scott??? The developer who was tied in to Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics???
I don’t like the looks of this….

According to the huffington post:
The death of Chicago School Board President Michael Scott has been ruled a suicide, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Monday.
Police found Scott face-down in the Chicago River, a .38-caliber handgun beneath him.
The longtime public servant and school board member put the gun to his left temple and shot himself.
No suicide note has been found.
Mayor Daley was visibly shaken by the news and abruptly canceled a speaking engagement in Michigan, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Daley said he had no notion that Scott, his close friend for more than 30 years, was dealing with any emotional problems.
“No, no. None whatsoever,” Daley told the Sun-Times. “Mike was always helping people with troubles.”
The absolute absence of sincerity when he states he’s “remorseful” is priceless. Keep bombing.

Designer Je Sung Park says that disposable cameras and cell phones have gained acceptance, so why don’t we take the next step and bring out a disposable computer.
His Recyclable Paper Laptop is quite a raw version and could do with some refinement. It uses recycled paper or pulp material all packed in layers. This is so that you can easily replace the damaged portions (even corrugated paper will tear easy). I’m sure there is a big brain out there that will figure out the tech bit of this thing.

Open today at Munich’s Galerie Maurer, The Cuban Revolution: 40 Years of Cuban Photography juxtaposes images of everyday life with the realities of the violence of war. For those that weren’t in London to view the rare “Have A Nice Day” piece by Banksy originally from the Shoreditch Railway Bridge, Juxtapoz has posted pictures of the event. A satirical nod to riot police, the work of art is (quite clearly) signature Banksy. It has recently become the focal point of a new documentary on street art. Soho’s “The Great Fog” jewelry shop hosted the one night viewing, and hosted several curators in doing so.

There’s no shortage of books on Ian Curtis or Joy Division. At this point, everyone recognises Ian Curtis as a certified musical and style icon and he’s revered accordingly. It reached a point when Men.Style (RIP) labelled him as an ‘overinfluencer’. What makes this book different from the others is the fact that Kevin Cummins had captured them from their beginnings as ‘Warsaw’ to their heady heights. And, as you’d expect, there’s more than enough unseen images to make this worth a purchase. It is a first edition collectable copy though, so the £200 price tag shouldn’t be much of a shock. Pick this up over at Paul Smith.

A while back I covered this fascinating photographer’s work which my wife and I discovered at the 21C Museum Hotel in Louisville. In the Nollywood series, Pieter Hugo explores the multilayered reality of the Nigerian film industry that is said to be the third largest in the world, releasing approximately 1000 movies each year onto the home video market.
Shot by South African photographer Pieter Hugo they have recently been published in this book designed by Damien Poulain.

I wonder if the same measures would have been taken had they harmonized their orders like a Barbershop quartet…
